I admit, I am not current on all the social media that’s out there on the interwebs. I’m LinkedIn, I have both a Facebook profile and a Facebook page and know the difference between them. I have a MySpace account, I blog and I’ve joined some Ning networks. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out the value of Twitter! Can someone please explain the value, not how it works, but the value of twitter? I’ve looked at other people’s twitters and it boggles my mind.
They all seem to look like this:
| I’m happy it’s Friday. 09:20 AM August 15, 2008 | |
| Going to a farmers market. 05:00 PM August 15, 2008 | |
| Ate an apple. Oooh alliteration! 05:55 PM August 15, 2008 | |
| Monday: Back to work, Back to school. It’s good being back. 01:12 PM August 25, 2008 | |
| I have to pee.. 04:58 PM August 29, 2008 | |
| Peed. 05:03 PM August 29, 2008 | |
| Do I have to pee again so soon? Need to make Urologists appt. 05:15 PM August 29, 2008 | |
I don’t have the time, nor the ego to tell everyone what I am doing every second. If someone can enlighten me, I’d love to hear from you!

Somehow it is just fun to clear your head of all the silly thoughts that run through it. Value? Entertainment. I saw a woman write 10 quick tweets on her husband trying to get a bat out of their bedroom in the middle of the night. Funny stuff!

Well, it’s brought some attention to my blog. I like it for that. And it is funny to see what my more humorous friends write.
I have to admit, though, you are ahead of me on the social media front. I am going to have to pore over your blog more carefully to try to figure out what the heck some of this stuff is. For instance, I have no idea the differences between a Facebook page and Facebook profile. Off to make you a friend, negative blogger.
