We’re fine here at Price Central. We only lost power for about 4 hours last night. Then, during the heart of the storm, when the wind and the rain were at it’s worst…the power came on! My wife and I couldn’t believe it. It flickered on and off a half dozen times from about 4am and 5:30am. But since, 6am or so we have had continous power, which for many if not all of Houston is a rarity. The cable is on, but until about 30 minutes ago, it was only basic cable. But it is on now, which is why I have an internet connection,
The storm was wild. Shingles off the roof flew everywhere. You can look into the courtyard without seeing them. No roof leaks in our condo, but the storage area has a hole and the common areas and hallways have leaks you can see seeping from the ceiling. Our neighbor, Judy, had a deluge into her condo and she’s one floor lower than us.
Our underground parking garage is still powerless and so it the water pump that bring water up to our unit. So we don’t have water here (We do have bottled water, a full tub and a 5 gallon water bag that is full) but not tap water that the mayor says we shouldn’t drink yet any way.
Overall, it could have been much worse and may be worse for many others, but we’re fine. Thanks for the emails of concern!
